Hi, I’m Edu Lins

Music composer with 10+ years of experience and collector of handmade instruments based on the hot coast of Rio de Janeiro.

My passion is to elevate the message of visual stories through heartfelt music.
I also love to experiment with Brazilian instruments and rhythms using modern sound design and sample techniques to create new possibilities in the realm of pop and cinematic production.

Brazilian Film Music

I’m trying to bring BR music to a cinematic contemporary language, keeping the traditional rhythms and feel somewhat intact (which took me some months of experimenting and I’ll be forever perfecting).

When I think of Brazil, I think of beautiful nature, organic textures, vivid colors and spontaneous people — I try to capture all of that (not saying that I succeed). What you hear is 100% BR, which means no synthesizers were used, only raw and mild/ultra processed instruments.

Effects include: reverb, stereo delay, gate, XY filters, granular processing, analog saturation and sample techniques.

BOOM BOSSA (EP)

A unique blend of Brazilian rhythms Samba, Bossa Nova, Funk and Capoeira with modern genres like Lofi, Hip Hop, Trap, R&B and Nu Disco. Composed, produced, mixed and mastered by me. More info here.

Maré Vazante

A beautiful album by artist Alan Bernardes with hundreds of thousands of plays in Spotify, featuring many BR rhythms such as samba, funk, coco, maracatu, and baião. I worked in the production and mixing stages.

Globo TV

I work on demand for Globotracks — an exclusive catalog that provides music for Globo, the largest TV network in Latin America, and its branch of TV channels such as GNT, Multishow and Canal Brasil. My 40+ tracks have been listened by hundreds of millions of people.

Zokai

A retro monster collecting game from Australia, featuring authentic Game Boy sounds. I really enjoyed being part of a project highly inspired by Pokémon, a franchise that marked my childhood in so many ways.

Electronic Music

Here are several tracks from different moods and sub-genres so you can save some time and get a general idea of my work.

Orchestral Music

Again, I used some games to put the music in a visual context. These tracks could also be applied to film, TV and podcasts.

WWSC
Westworld Scoring Competition

The WSC was hosted by Spitfire Audio and HBO. Here I show my passion for blending orchestras with synthesizers.

Let me fall in love with your project, get inspired and help achieve YOUR vision!
